Entering the Seaport of Point Comfort


Approaching Point Comfort


As you approach the seaport of Point Comfort, keep a lookout for the Point Comfort Lighthouse. This iconic structure marks the entrance to the port and is easily visible from a distance.

Following the Channel


Once you have spotted the lighthouse, make your way towards it while staying within the designated channel. The channel is well-marked with buoys and beacons, so be sure to keep a close eye on them to avoid running aground.

Communicating with the Port Authority


As you near the port, contact the Point Comfort Port Authority on VHF channel 16 to request permission to enter. They will provide you with further instructions and assign you a berth.

Entering the Port


Once you have received permission to enter, proceed towards your assigned berth while maintaining a safe speed. Be aware of other vessels in the area and follow all port regulations.

Mooring at Point Comfort


When you reach your berth, follow the instructions provided by the port authority to safely moor your vessel. Once you have secured your vessel, you can begin your stay in the bustling seaport of Point Comfort.
